COMMITMENT: If a player is unable to attend Festival after signing onto the team, they are still responsible for making all payments up until the time they drop out. They must send a letter in writing to WCU stating that they are dropping the program and upon receipt of the letter will be the official drop date. Unless we find a replacement, ALL fees apply.

PAYMENTS: June 1st, July 15th, September 4th, November 1st (includes PLAYER hotel, Coaching, Turf Fees, Media Guide, Tournament fee, Uniforms) also due by September 4th Thanksgiving dinner approx. $40/pp.
PRACTICE: If you have questions or can not make a practice call or email Lauren at 774.249.0296 laurenc@wcufha.com at least 24-hours in advance! Practices are MANDATORY. September 4th 8-9 parent meeting 9-11am @WSU, October 9th 9-11am @WSU, November 6th 9-11am @WSU, November 13th 9-11am @WSU, November 20th 9-11am @WSU - additional practices may be added please review this page frequently. MIAA rules state that you must attend your HS practice! You cannot skip a HS practice to attend WCU practice, be sure and adhere to this rule.
REMEMBER Festival is a competitive, college recruiting tournament. In order to be Competitive and considered for Recruitment the mandatory practices are vital to our TEAM's success. We can't achieve our 'goals' if we are not prepared.
THANKSGIVING DINNER: Reservations are being confirmed. Please contact laurenc@wcufha.com to inquire about your reseveration and payment for the people in your group who are coming to dinner. That amount should INCLUDE the player in your family: i.e. 2 parents, 1 child and one player = 4 dinner reservations. The cost is per person and will include all taxes and tips. Remember checks to WCUFHA by NO LATER THAN October 9th.
HOTEL INFO: The team will be staying together at the Pointe Hilton Sqaw Peak. We have not reserved but have blocked off rooms for parents. You must contact Vicki Vassolotti @JBS ASAP to book one of these blocked rooms. Additionally, there are several other hotels in the immediate area {Reach 11 Sports Complex in Phoenix Arizona}. - if you would like to book a reservation at the same hotel or utilize USA Field Hockey's travel agent, please follow the detailed instructions on the USA Field Hockey Site.USA Field Hockey Site. Reminder players stay with the team.
FLIGHTS: Each player and/or parent is responsible for flights. Arrival must be on TUESDAY November 22nd (in time to make the 10:30pm meeting in the lobby of our hotel) - departure late Sunday (medals are generally handed out around 4pm after the team's last game ) or after... There will be a team breakfast on Wednesday morning at 8am, a practice at 9am and Team Dinner on Wednesday 5pm.
ON-SITE TRANSPORTATION: TEAM Transportation will not be provided. Please make arrangements with another attending parent or with Lauren to get transportation to and from hotel/field. If you are flying alone, please let Lauren know by Sept. 4th practice.
USFHA CARD: If you have not provided us with a COPY OF the Player's current/valid USFHA membership CARD (we need an actual COPY
OF THE CARD !!) please bring it with you to practice. It will not be returned so ensure it is a copy for us to keep. This must be supplied on or before October 9th. After this time your name and info will not appear on the US Field Hockey roster or in the WCU Media Booklet and you will not be able to play.
BIO BOOK (distributed to college coaches): Please contact laurenc@wcufha.com. with the previously requested information ASAP if you have not already done so. This book is critical to your player - this information gets in front of coaches and college recruiters !!!
RECRUITING: The Crown Plaza Phoenix will be the site of the White Mountain Sports/College Connection/NFHCA Recruiting Seminar and NFHCA Senior Night. the recruiting seminar will be held on Friday, November 25th from 7-9pm and Senior Night will be held on Saturday, November 26th from 7-9pm. This info may change so please check the USFHA website often. PLAYERS, please email all college coaches AT LEAST by October 10th !! This is a huge recruiting event and most players will not get recruited or even a look without attending this event! Our WCUFHA media guide will be provided to College Coaches.
FUNDRAISING: WCU is running a clinic for grades 1-8 starting Sept. 11th for 8 weeks at Worcester State University. We are requesting PLAYER participation to coach/run this clinic. More details to follow at practice. PLEASE CONTACT anyone with younger children and PUSH THIS CLINIC! Remember, in addition to it being a requirement to your Team, YOUR participation in this will look GREAT on your college bio/resume!
