The mission of the Worcester County United Field Hockey Academy is to raise the G A M E of field hockey in Massachusetts. G A M E represents Grades, Ability, Motivation and Exposure. Our focus is to provide a safe and effective learning environment for players including field hockey instruction as well as health and fitness training.
PROGRAMS:
SAT Preparation - Starting the second week in March 2008, we will be offering a SAT prep class. The program will run for 5 two hour sessions focusing on SAT test-taking strategies as well as English and Math test specific strategies. THIS is no different than a game - It is you vs. the test! Let your competitive self come out! Cost is $375. These classes generally run anywhere from $800 to $1000! Proceeds go toward WCU future programs. <Informational Brochure>
ASK Clinic - Lots of questions have been arising about our Recruiting Clinic (Just ASK) that we offered last summer. We are doing it a little different this year trying to truly prepare the girls for their high school season and college recruitment. We will run 6 days of camp over three weeks to get the benefit of the strength and conditioning, college coaches, and making sure we give our players the best advantage to get better. Putting the days together in one week does not give the girls the proper recovery time their bodies need to input the information. We also want to make sure our bodies get stronger and are in "Game Readiness" by the time preseason starts so we have spread the clinic out into three weeks just prior to the start of preseason. Within this clinic, we will be doing recruiting videos as well. Graduating seniors are welcome. We will only be accepting a small number of players so they have the best attention from coaches so register ASAP. Click here for Brochure. We are only accepting 16 players per age group so players are able to work with an get to know college coaches on a personal level.

High School Summer League - This league is designed for HIGH SCHOOL players who are interested in playing during the summer to prepare for their upcoming season.
Players will play in a 7 v. 7 league format. Games will be two 25 minute halves. 10 player minimum.
LOCATION: HitQuarters Turf Field
TIMES: Monday nights from 5:30-7:30 - DATES: June 16, 23, 30 July 7, 14, 21
COST: $500 if you register and pay in full before May 1 - $550 per team after May 2
DEADLINE: All applications should be received by June 1 to guarantee a spot.
** Teams will all receive team t-shirts to wear and prizes will be given for team spirit, attendance, overall record.

Collegiate Summer League - This league is designed for COLLEGIATE players who are interested in playing during the summer to prepare for their upcoming season. High School Graduates from the Class of 2008 are welcome! You can sign up as either a team or as an independent player. Players will play in a 6 v. 6 league format. Games will be two 25 minute halves.

COST: $75 for an individual player for six weeks or $500 per team

EUROPEAN Field Hockey TOUR 2009 - After many years of players asking for the ultimate trip, I have finally taken the plunge and organized the trip. This trip is through an accredited company Eurotour who have been organizing trips for several years. Itinerary is set and everything is broken down for you on the attached itinerary. Feel free to call Bob and ask questions and mention you are with the WCU trip. Please note the deadlines. Payment schedule attached as well. WCU will be sending two coaches at least one being female to go along with this trip. Eurotour also sends their own coaches and staff to ensure a quality trip all the way from USA and back. If you are interested, please let us know. Bob will also be coming to meet with interested families to answer all questions. I have spoken to a few players who have gone on this trip in the past and can't say enough about it.
